Early Morning Adventures
Dec. 10th, 2018 06:05 amIn an effort to get my shit together and not be late to work every day, I've been waking up at 5:30 am. This has been... interesting.
Im definitely tired for the first hour, and doing this without coffee would be rather challenging. but i *have* been doing it, which counts for something, since I've been a night owl for the last 15 years and getting the boat turned around on this will take more than just one week.
It's nice, however, to have this quiet time in the morning. I browse the internet, get some light creative work done, make breakfast, and have time for proper getting ready instead of just slinging on clothing and makeup in a rush to get out the door as quickly as I can.
I'd like to be able to integrate some more things. Meditation, for one, but I want to get my body used to the earlier hours before I start spending time sitting still in the dark with my eyes closed. I know myself, I'll just end up sleeping sitting up on the couch if I do that until I'm awake-awake.
It's been interesting but lookit me, I'm doing it!
